How can I give my point of law of copyright a photo to someone else?
My local church has scaffolding around the tower for the first time 50. The priest and contractors very kindly allowed me to take the top for a panoramic photo. I want to give free and royalty-free church also keep my copyright as well. I do not want to sell, but also allow the church to their funds. It is a copyright issue fixed as I want to be sure I am credited for each reproduction.
Plan options: 1. The photographer has the copyright on the photo. It is possible the photographer to sell the rights to another person as his organization nonprofit. This would say that the photographer gives up the copyright of the photo. 2. It is also possible to obtain a license from the photographer to use the photo. If you want maximum freedom to use the image, you should try and royalty-free, perpetual, unrestricted license that allows you to use the image without paying royalties to photographers. Whatever agreement, sorry to say it should be made in writing and precise legalese. If you are very lucky, a verbal agreement might work, but attitudes tend to change when it comes to money. In the case simply transfer the rights to sell the church to use the photograph in any way they want, but please give credit as picture "John Doe"
