Anyone else have Kaiser? ?
They suck, so if you do not - do not get. So far, I was stuck paying all the bills, and insurance is expensive - which should cover at least something. I was charged 361 $ For an ultrasound which was requested by my doctor says it is necessary and $ 0.00 Kaiser covered it. I am so angry - Someone there any suggestions on what to do? Oh, by the way, these places are supposed to cover the Kaiser hospitals ..
I have no experience with the Kaiser, but I can identify with you. When I was pregnant with my 2nd, my work changed insurance companies of the Basel Committee at United Healthcare and Kaiser UHC was the same (it seems). When I went for my 20 weeks ultrasound, they could not see the heart due to the position of the baby and I had to return two weeks later and has been accused of that! (States do not cover) So, my obstetrician ordered another ultrasound at 30 weeks because it was "measuring small" and I had to pay for it. It was horrible. I used by the Basel Committee with my first pregnancy when everything was covered after I met my deductible, even expected having to pay that much. I had to pay each time they checked my iron when I was pregnant! I only stayed one night to the hospital because at that time I did some research and I knew he would have to pay about $ 900 to stay another night! Some of these things were technically "covered" but at a rate so low that most of the costs still happens to me - that was the issue. The moral of this story is, all insurance companies are different, and some simply do not cover as much as others. Let doc know that some of his options will be based on the cost because their insurance does not cover everything. Sometimes doctors err on the side of caution, the order of things that are not really necessary just because they know they will pay for it. Well, now you know how they can be after more careful.
