Is it possible to drive the western tip of Alaska Fairbanks?
I write a story that takes place in Alaska, and I try understand it is possible to drive the area closest to Russia (Googlemaps tells me there's a village called Wales, but no answer my other question) in Fairbanks. If so, the path would be a single dose, and approximately how long would it be? Would it be possible to ride off road? If not, can lead to the area of Wales to another major city in Alaska?
No more western Alaska village of connected road network is the anchor and is only about a hundred miles west of Anchorage. It is several hundred miles of the place where you must hunt in their history. A plausible alternative is a snow machine (snowmobile called in the bottom 48) or dog sledding in winter. slow person who completed the race in Iditarod sled dogs in 2009 (about 1150 miles, the distance of Willow (near Anchorage) to Nome (history), it has in 15 days, 14 hours, 6 minutes and 22 seconds. Make sure that the hero of the story is much more than that to be realistic. Alaska transportation system is worse than many third world "to the extent of interconnection is concerned. Take this into account in its history as well. Most of the state has no system sewage either.
