Originally the museum to close Kellogg in Battle Creek, Mich.?
Cereal City USA was intended to replace the grain Kellogg's factory tour of popular plants that had been entertaining families for generations, when it closed in 1996. But the public has never bought grain in the city of the United States. When it opened in 1998, its owners had boasted that he could attract 400,000 visitors a year, city wishing to attract foreign dollars. Instead, by his own accounting, Cereal City USA has attracted only 162,000 in its first year and less and less each year thereafter. Estimated attendance of 2006 was a mere 79.500.
